    It’s 2018! That means a whole new lineup of great events at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center including signature concerts and performances. This winter, don’t miss your chance to experience the incredible showmanship and theatrical talent right here in the West Chester community.

    Better Than Bacon improv show

     

    What: Better Than Bacon performs in completely-unscripted improvisational games. These games are developed by audience interaction and suggestions! Each show is fresh and different–improv at it’s finest!

    What: Joe Conklin is a Philadelphia radio personality, comedian and impressionist. He’s known for his incredible impressions on the 94.1 FM WIP’s morning show including Donald Trump, Joel Embiid, Merrill Reese, Charles Barkley, Allen Iverson, Ed Rendell, Barack Obama and many others.     Speaker Series: Laura Benshoff “Behind the Scenes of Suburban Reporting with WHYY’s Laura Benshoff”

     

    What: Laura Benshoff serves as WHYY’s Suburban Reporter covering Bucks, Montgomery, Chester and Delaware Counties for WHYY-FM and the station’s award-winning online home for news and civic dialogue WHYY News. From the opioid crisis to the trial of “America’s Dad” Bill Cosby, Laura will discuss the events, issues and people that have dominated the headlines in Chester County and across the Delaware Valley.

    Jazz Cocktail Hour: One Night, Two Legends, Two Horns, McKenna & Vaché

     

    What: Legendary NY horn player, Warren Vaché, joins Philly’s supreme saxophonist, Larry McKenna and his quartet, under one roof for one spectacular evening. Menu provided by Delightful Desserts. Orders must be in by January 13, 2018.

    Holy Matrimony’s “Splendor and the Diversity of Gospel”

     

    What: Local husband and wife team Rev. Robert and Michele Scott released their gospel album, “Totally Committed 2 U,” nationwide in 2009. Holy Matrimony, the Scott’s band, brings a unique expression of praise and worship that crosses the genre lines between pop and gospel. Ministering throughout the U.S. for over 24 years, they are now looking forward to an international ministry. Don’t miss their visit to West Chester.

    Kiss the Sky “The Jimi Hendrix Re Experience with special guests HEAVY CREAM – ultimate tribute to CREAM”

     

    What: Named by AXS-TV as the WORLD’S GREATEST TRIBUTE to JIMI HENDRIX, KISS THE SKY is fronted by virtuoso guitarist & showman, JIMY BLEU, and backed by world-class touring musicians. KISS THE SKY is the ONLY Hendrix tribute with spot-on look & sound-a-like performers for both of Jimi’s bands. This show also uses authentic replica costumes and the same musical gear Jimi used in the 1960’s. It also features iconic recreations of epic concerts like the 1967’s Monterey Pop, the 1970 Fillmore’s Band of Gypsys & 1969’s famous Woodstock.
