    What’s Up at Uptown! in March

    The chilly weather may still be here, but that doesn’t mean you can’t venture out for a great experience at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center! Enjoy a variety of events including signature concerts and performances. Don’t miss your chance to experience the incredible showmanship and theatrical talent right here in the West Chester community.

    Opera Tutti – Americana

    What: American Opera, Folk and Great American Songbook in cabaret, featuring works by Leonard Bernstein in his 100th Birthday year.

    When: Sunday, March 4 at 3pm

     

     

    Jazz Cocktail Hour(s)

    What: Karen Rodriguez and her band specialize in Latin styles including Salsa, Bolero, Bossa Nova, Latin Jazz, and more. She regularly performs in jazz venues across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and New York. Don’t miss her stop here!

    When: Thursday, March 15 at 6:30pm

     

     

    West Chester Studio for the Performing Arts’ Children’s Gala – “We’re All Made of Stars” 

    What: Enjoy this family-friendly event with performances by students in WCStudio’s Education programs. Then enjoy a reception, silent auction, and fun children’s activities!

    When: Saturday, March 17 from 1-4pm

     

     

    Azul – A Story of Picasso’s Blue Period

    What: This drama, with Flamenco music and dance, tells of Pablo Picasso’s obsession with one woman that drove him to paint in blue, Azul. A captivating drama you can’t miss.

    Uptown! Speakers Series Presents Chester County Bar Association – The Current State of Constitutional Law

    What: Join for an expert panel discussion regarding current issues, with an additional Q&A session to follow!

    When: Tuesday, March 20 at 6:30pm

     

     

    Dueling Pianos

    What: Don’t miss this incredible duo of professional pianists—dueling to some of your favorite music. There are new duos each month. It’s interactive and engaging!

    The Resident Theatre Company Presents: Bullets Over Broadway

    What: A young writer lands his first Broadway deal, but his play is being produced by a gangster whose girlfriend has to play a leading role. The roaring ‘20s Jazz Age comedy was nominated for 6 Tony Awards!

    When: Friday, March 30 – Sunday, April 15. Matinee and evening performances are available.
