    We are craving warmer Spring weather! And with the changing seasons, there is a whole new lineup of great events at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center including signature concerts and performances.

     

    Don’t miss your chance to experience the incredible showmanship and theatrical talent right here in the West Chester community.

     

    Here’s what’s up at Uptown! in May 2018:

     

     

    Echoes, The American Pink Floyd

    With An Opening Performance by
    Andrew Bedell Collective

     

    When: Friday, May 4 at 8pm (doors open at 7pm)

    What: Ten fantastic musicians, seven timeless albums, one incredible night of Pink Floyd!

     

    Great Balls of Fire starring Linda Gentille

     

    When: Sunday, May 6 at 2pm

    What: As a major headline act, Linda Gentille has performed in more than 30 US states and 20 countries. Linda specializes in American classic and ragtime music. “I love the music of Gershwin and Porter, but wanted to develop a show that would also appeal to younger audiences. I included the old favorites from Liberace and Roger Williams, but have added music from Billy Joel and Elton John which gives the show a great variety. It is a great family show for music and piano lovers of all ages.”

     

    Opera Tutti Cabaret – “Opera Uber Alles!”

    When: Sunday, May 20 at 3pm

    What: Celebrating the music and opera of Germany and Eastern Europe, Danke schön! Think drinking songs and Brunhilde!

     

    Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses

    When: Thursday, May 31 at 7pm

    What: Born into an undeniable musical legacy, Louis Prima Jr. picks up the torch lit by his iconic father and leads his incarnation of The Witnesses headfirst into the future. Their seamless blend of hard driving big band jazz, insanely danceable swing and, at its core, real rock and roll has been wowing crowds worldwide. Make no mistake, this is no tribute act.
