“It’s an exciting time to be in the entertainment industry,” says Mike Windish, “and in Chester County we have all the resources we need within arm’s reach to create the very best entertainment in the world.” Literally, Windish Music and Productions brings the world to West Chester and also brings entertainment to the world.
The award-winning, world-class live entertainment company is dedicated to producing memorable events. Whether it’s a wedding, a corporate or holiday event, or an award-winning production for a theater, resort, theme park, or cruise ship, Windish provides everything from performers to sound, lighting, and staging. “From concept to curtain call, we oversee the process with great attention to detail,” Mike says.
Mike began his career as a music teacher and cut his teeth in show production and live entertainment at Hersheypark. “What makes Windish unique is the scope of our vision and experience,” he says. “We travel across the US seeking talent and travel the world with our performing groups.” One of the ways Windish fulfills its mission to put live arts and entertainment in the foreground of the community is through its work with Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center.
“So much unique creativity happens here,” Mike says. Their monthly Dueling Piano series, for example, is a regular sellout in addition to larger concerts. Windish also oversees all technical needs for this three-venue arts center.
While Windish is expanding and enhancing the entertainment culture of West Chester and the greater Philadelphia area, it’s also physically expanding to add 4,500 square feet of rehearsal studio space. “Many projects will come to life here,” Mike says, as Windish continues to pay homage to the community’s incredible history while also delighting audiences with fresh and innovative offerings.
