In a town like West Chester, there is no shortage of fantastic, local businesses. From art galleries to cafés to nonprofits, so many organizations are involved in the growth and development of our Downtown scene.
We were super excited to collab with local realtor and West Chester fanatic, Mike Ciunci, to highlight some of the local organizations changing the game in West Chester. Not only are these places increasing the livability factor of the borough, but they are also adding important services that make the fabric of our community that much stronger.
Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center
With all-age theatre classes, breathtaking musical productions, and highly anticipated speakers, Uptown! has truly become a gathering place for people from all backgrounds. This community staple brings together so many forms of art and culture, adding value to anyone who visits.
Chester County’s original producer-only market, West Chester Growers market gives the community an easily accessible place in town where residents can purchase locally grown and sustainable food. The best part is, as a producer-only market, customers are guaranteed to meet the farmer or artisan they are purchasing from right there on location. With both fresh food and good neighbors, the West Chester Growers Market truly is an irreplaceable piece of the town.
Providing out-of-towners with the perfect, centrally located accommodations, Hotel Warner not only adds value to visitors but to the town itself as well. This historic hotel is nestled right Downtown, within walking distance of dozens of cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries, and shops. It gives its guests both glamour and ease, making West Chester an even more desirable vacation.
An essential part of the well-being of West Chester residents, the Crime Victims Center (CVC) began in 1973 with the goal of helping victims of sexual violence and other crimes to understand their rights and next steps. Advocates for the downtrodden, this admirable group of people fight every single day to ensure justice and refuge are provided to all West Chester residents.
With its thriving arts scene and vibrant Downtown, West Chester truly is a town to fall in love with. We’re so grateful for these four organizations and so many like them who contribute to the fantastic, ever-growing culture of our town.
