At Fig, we believe in the power of a community that works together to identify needs and find solutions—one that creates connections and is passionate about helping its neighbors. We believe in the mission of the Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County—our 2020 Social Mission Partner. Please consider supporting them this year.
Mission
Established in 1973, The Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County, Inc. (CVC) provides free, immediate, and confidential crisis response and compassionate support to children and adults impacted by crime and violence. They provide assistance through counseling, advocacy, resources, and education. CVC fosters community awareness and understanding through its comprehensive outreach and prevention programs.
DIRECT SERVICE FOR VICTIMS
Two crisis support hotlines are available to anyone in need 24/365— one for sexual assault, and the second for all other crimes. In addition, advocates are able to assist victims through challenging medical treatment and exams, police interviews, legal hearings and procedures, submission of compensation applications, or obtaining protection orders for themselves and/or their children.
PREVENTION EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Primarily focused on youth, education programming includes topics such as anti-bullying, bystander intervention, personal safety, healthy relationships, conflict resolution, and others.
