A woman who has influenced you: Joanna Gaines
When Angela Payson co-founded West Chester Design/Build in 2007 with her husband Chris, she had no idea the challenges that awaited them in the coming years. “I was excited as anything about what the future may hold for our brand new business, and then it all started falling apart,” says Angela. “We literally started months prior to the infamous housing crisis of 2008.”
Needless to say, the next few years required faith, grit, and lots of determination. She knew they had something special here, and if they stuck it out, they would not regret it.
Fast forward ten years, and their architectural design and home remodeling company has earned numerous awards, and is rated the top company in the area, thanks to their unique and convenient process.
"It can be scary to take a leap forward, but I think Walt Disney said it best—‘If you can dream it, you can do it.’"
Now as she helps prepare her team for the company’s next milestone—finalizing the design of their newly purchased building, (pictured above) with renovations planned to begin this spring—she once again finds herself experiencing that familiar nervous excitement in the face of such a large undertaking. “It can be scary to take a leap forward, but I think Walt Disney said it best—‘if you can dream it, you can do it’.”
