What do you love about your area?
I love its diversity and ever-changing nature. And the restaurants, but who doesn’t love them? It’s a lot of fun looking at my hometown from a professional standpoint; I’m discovering a ton of hidden nooks and crannies along the way!
What is your favorite local restaurant? Favorite museum, landmark, place to visit?
Kildares, hands down, especially because of their crab dip! I also love checking out the Bicentennial Courthouse and the Chester County Historical Society. West Chester just has so much history.
Why do you like writing for Fig?
I love writing for Fig because it’s so broad. I love getting the scoop on what people are up to in their day-to-day lives and covering activities and events that are important to them. I really care about talking and getting to know everyone I write about.
Where can we find you on a Friday night? Or on a Saturday?
You can usually find me hanging out with friends eating food or watching Netflix. Sometimes both.
What’s your dream day in your location?
My dream day would be to read and write at the Gay Street Starbucks in the morning and get lunch at Iron Hill. Then, I would walk around all the parks, and top off the evening with Gemelli’s gelato. It’s delicious!
How long have you lived in your area?
I’ve lived in the West Chester area all my life, so since the ’90s. It’s been great to see West Chester grow and expand since then.
What do you feel you bring to Fig as a local expert?
I bring a glimpse into the eyes of a local because I have lived in the area my entire life. So when I’m trying to write a post with the readers in mind, I can imagine how they could read it because I’m still a local. And we can bond over the same high schools together.
What’s a fun, unique talent you possess?
I can balance a basketball on the back of my hand. I used to be the coolest kid at recess.
