Tara Giorgio – The Women of West Chester

Tara Giorgio – Owner of The Brow Bar

Years in business: Less than two years

A woman who has influenced you: Keyana Cellucci

When Tara Giorgio set out to open her own business, The Brow Bar, she faced skepticism—and a fire three weeks before she opened. “People don’t always take you seriously when you’re a young female,” the 24-year-old says.

But Tara’s drive and resolve was—and is—bolstered by her community of clients and other women in business in West Chester. “We’re all in this together,” she says. “We want nothing more than success for each other. The friendships and support are amazing.”

As it turns out, West Chester has an endless market for eyebrow shaping, and Tara’s calendar is booked out weeks in advance. “I get great satisfaction from it,” says Tara. “Creating structural symmetry by taking personalized measurements to guarantee your brow has the perfect start, arch, and end for your facial features … that’s my mission.”

It’s a mission that can change a client’s outlook and mood in minutes. “I can give someone instant gratification within 15 minutes by adjusting their brows — that’s huge,” Tara says. “I want my team to forever make people feel more confident.”

"lf you’re not questioning yourself, you’re not dreaming big enough."

The process of taking control and starting her own business taught Tara something important about herself. “Be you, and own it,” she says. “If you don’t take ‘no’ for an answer and use your common sense, you can do anything you set your mind to—and that’s the joy of it all.”

Tara’s gratitude for her clients— “The Brow Gang”— and fellow female entrepreneurs is evident. And her clients’ satisfaction is pretty apparent too. “When you hand someone a mirror and they cry tears of joy … that feeling changes your life,” Tara shares.
